That thing for me is getting my nails done. And not just like a manicure or gel polish, I get acrylics every three weeks. 

I went to j'adore every three weeks for the last nine months - to me, getting my nails done isn't even about the pampering or the "me time", it's really about the convenience. I would rather pay $40 every three weeks and not have any nail maintenance whatsoever. I cringe at girls who have chipped nail polish, it's a HUGE pet peeve for me. 

However, in recent times I've really decided to try to save more money. I just booked a big vacation and I'm trying to move out of my parents house as well as trying to pay off my *disgusting amount of * student debt. This means that the first thing to downsize was my monthly nail appoints (Sorry Bruce, miss u). 

Looking at this picture actually is so weird for me because I ALWAYS have acrylics on. Not having them is so out of my comfort zone. 

I need some serious advice here; normally it's me spilling some advice to y'all but this is not my area of expertise, hence why I pay someone to do my nails for me. I hate painting my nails. I especially hate painting my nails every two freaking days because nothing stays on my nails. I've bought the most expensive shit and the cheapest shit and they all work the same. 

Mind you, my nails are highhhhhly damaged (beauty is pain?) but even before starting on this nail kick my nails couldn't hold polish. I've tried base coats and no base coat and everything under the sun. 

Do any of you beauties have any tips and tricks for getting your polish to stay on longer? Or any brands (if you saw OPI or Julep - I'm not messing with that, the stem of this whole issue is *bUdddGettt*)

Any comments are SO appreciated! As a professional, I am so embarrassed going to work and meetings with chipped nails so I need this nipped in the bud asap
