I took a more anonymous route when I started Short Stout Style just over a year ago. Rather than just generating content from my personal social feeds, I started from scratch. I wanted to do this because I was terrified (Emphasis on terrified) that my friends would think I was ridiculous. I had Short Stout Style running for a few weeks before I told a soul, but quickly realized a) I was being ridiculous and b) If I wanted to gain any sort of traffic I should really start with at least promoting it personally.

Low and behold everyone thought it was a fabulous idea, no one looked at me funny, everyone's been extremely supportive. This hasn't been an income generator for me this is simply just a part-time (more like 1/8th of the time) hobby! I love showcasing my outfits and really wanted to stop flooding the news feeds of the people who many not be so into that, that follow my personal accounts.

Because of this, I've really never mentioned much about me, Ashleigh, the face behind SSS. You hardly even SEE my face. I felt like it was time to disclose a little more about the body in the images.




1) I'll start with the basics. I'm 23 years old, living in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I work full time at a small media agency - consistently in the world of online advertising, google adwords, google analytics and social media. All skills that I SHOULD be using to advantage for this blog.



2) My parents have two Bernese Mountain Dogs and a Sheltie. They're my world. (I'm also an only child so they're practically my siblings) Follow my personal Instagram if you want to see them DAILY.. they're so cute you won't regret it @ashleighkuniski

3) Besides excelling my career, travel is my number one priority. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel with my parents as a kid and they've instilled that curiosity in me that I will never put to the back burner. I'm really wanting to expand my content so stay tuned to travel blogs in the near future! It's a huge part of my life and it seems like a big miss leaving my experiences off of this blog.

4) I was once bit on the lip by my pet turtle (I can never remember if it was Jeff or Larry) - it was my own fault. I was 7 and wanted to give him a kiss because he walked down the stair successfully on his own. BIG mistake. (That's my favourite ice breaker)

5) I really hate sharing. It's something I'm working on. (Only child problems)

6) The name of this blog was a play on "I'm a little tea pot, short and stout" - hence the old tea pot logo (which is now GONE. What do you guys think of my new logo?!?) It was so fitting because that's my exact body type, and when I looked up the definition of Stout it TOTALLY spoke to me

7) I have this thing with red... can't stand it. Side note: Turquoise is my favourite colour!
