I think that jewellery trends go in and out just like clothing does. In high school I was alllll about the BIG fashion rings, then in university my love switched to chunky necklaces and now I'm ALL about bracelets.
I think it's because they really go with every single outfit whether it be casual or formal.
I have these gold bangles that my grand mother had given to me when she passed and I never really appreciated them at the time but now that I'm older I'm so glad to have those pieces of her. Bracelets are just timeless and those big chunky fashion rings maaaaay haunt me from time to time.
So it's because of this new found love that I'm so excited to share with you guys the newest addition to my collection. I designed this piece with Keep Collective - a new jewellery line from Stella and Dot! I am SO about this. There's so many times that I've been envisioning exactly what I want out of a piece of jewellery (or clothing for that matter, let's be honest) but what's in store isn't quite what you'd hoped for. With keep, you are the designer and the creator, so this new line is completely revolutionizing the jewellery industry. Just like the bracelets from my grand mother, this piece holds much more value than a store bought item because it's totally mine, and it's exactly what I wanted (finally, why can't store's read my MIND) I think you guys can see by now that I usually don't like the "norm" - I'm all about bold pieces and items that no one else can get their hands on (am I a crazy person? Absolutely) so Keep Collective has a huge YASSS from me.
The way this works is there is a "keeper" (necklace, bracelet) and then a "key" (lockets, birth stones, accents etc) which virtually means that there is something for everyone! You marry your keeper to a key (or keys) and then it's your own customized creation. You can shop for yourself or a friend, a new grad, a recent bride, a mom-to-be, the possibilities are honestly endless.
There are SO many options that when I was trying to decide on what I wanted I was so grateful to have my girl, Becky Kristiansen (seriously follow her on Insta @beckykristiansen) help me to figure out what worked best! I knew for sure I wanted this amazing, elegant, precious gold leaf but had no idea which keeper I wanted to pair it with! Becky was so above and beyond, she was sending me pictures of EVERY (I'm not kidding) keeper with the gold leaf on it so I could see exactly what I was going to be purchasing. In the end I went with this double looped rose gold keeper and I'm madly deeply in L-O-V-E with this!!! I've worn it every single day since I've come back from vacation. I never pictured rose gold to go with everything... But seriously, it does.
